Prayer for grief

Lord, we thank you that you hear and answer prayers. You have promised that those who hope in you will have their strength renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Give them the strength to endure this time of mourning and grief at the loss of their loved ones. May the peace of God reign in their lives , the love of God surround them during this most difficult time, may the Spirit of God empower them and the joy of God uphold the family. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
